SHOP Annual Renewal

Annual renewal process:
•Employers are notified 90 days ahead of annual renewal
•Employer has 30 days to revisit health coverage decisions from the previous year and make changes if desired
•Employees then have 30 days to make a health plan selection
•Employers must submit the final renewal submission by the 15th of the month, prior to the end of the plan year
•Employees who do not confirm or switch health plans will be automatically re-enrolled in their existing plans (assuming those plans still exists in the current form)
